Joe Quaff was inducted into the Quaffers Hall of Fame on June 19, 1945. His continued support and leadership of this team are just some of the reasons he was inducted. He was the sole member of the Quaffers Hall of Fame for 42 years.
Some of the awards Joe Quaff has received include; The Sports Writers Association's "Owner of the Year" for the last 45 years, Sports Illustrated's "Most Influential Man In Sports" 36 times, Jackson County Sports Authority's "Sportsman of the Year" 29 times, and The Kansas City Star's "Kansas Citian of the Year" 19 times. Joe Quaff serves on 150 collegiate athletic boards, the International Olympic Committee, and is a special advisor to Major League Baseball.
Joe Quaff founded and has been CEO, CFO, President, General Manager, and Sergeant at Arms of the Quaffers since the inception of the team. He is in charge of, but not limited to, all day-to-day operations, financial affairs, media relations, research and development, season ticket sales, and food and beverage operations.
