CHICAGO BULLS vs PHOENIX SUNS
Jordan proved his supremacy to the world yet again by guiding the Bulls to their third straight title - this time at the expense of the Suns and his good friend Charles Barkley.
It was an unheralded Bull, however, who put Phoenix away. Reserve guard John Paxson's three-pointer with 3.9 seconds left in Game 6 ended it all.

Pax is a heart breaker," Jordan said after the game. "He's had a way of breaking other teams hearts by hitting that jumper in the clutch ever since he's gotten here. When I saw him with the ball and a good look at the basket, I knew it was going in."
All things considered, Jordan's performance through the series outshone Paxson's title-clinching shot. Jordan earned an unprecedented third straight Finals MVP Award by averaging 41 points, 8.5 reboundsand 6.3 assists a game. First-year Suns coach Paul Westphal was at a loss for words afterward. "We lost to a great team," he said.
