Sid was never one to remember dates, and it had gotten him in trouble in the past. One
morning recently at breakfast, Karen, his wife of nine years said, "Now, Sid, I suppose you
remember what day this is, do you?"
Sid hurriedly finished his toast, and as he was heading out the door, said, "Of course I do."
He didn't.
At 11am, a knock came on the door. Karen answered it to find a dozen beautiful roses and a
card from Sid that said "I Love You!!!"
At 1pm a large heart shaped box of chocolates arrived, again from Sid.
3pm saw a delivery of a beautiful evening gown.
At 4pm a gold necklace and earrings.
At 5pm Sid arrived home, confident he had avoided the trouble these days have gotten him
into in the past, and was met at the door by an ecstatic Karen, who hugged and kissed him
excitedly, and said, "Welcome home honey. I love you so much."
Sid, relieved he wasn't in trouble, but still unsure of the occasion, replied, "So, you had a
good day then?"
Karen responded, "This is the best April Fools Day I've ever had!!!"
