Eagles Beat Packers in OT...BLAH!!!! - I hate the Eagles. I always have. Why? I don't know. I guess because I live in the area and every local news station is Philadelphia. It gets annoying hearing about them every day. It's sad when the news is hyping sports all of the time as their top story when there are soldiers dying overseas for their country. But the Eagles winning a game is so much more important than actual news...lame. So, in this area, you either love Philly teams or you hate them. I hate them. I'm sure it's similar in other cities around the country. I don't hate all Eagles fans or anything...I have relatives who are Eagles fans. But some...well some football fans in general (not just Philly)...are psycho and moronic. I'm surprised some of these drunken fools can even spell Eagles or Jets or whatever has become their clever chant nowadays. Yes, spelling the name of your team is the best people can come up with in this advanced world we live in. Well anyways, I was watching the NFC Divisional Playoff game between the Eagles and the Packers. Packers had the game won but the Eagles lucked out that the Pack chose to suck at the end of the game. Pack couldn't score on a 4th and 1 at the goal line...or even could have kicked a field goal. Then they had another 4th and 1 at the Eagles 40 or so and chose to punt when a 1st down would have won the game. Not so much against that decision but they had been running so well and I think they would have made it. Then they let the Eagles convert on a 4th and 26. Yes...4TH AND 26!!!!! If they would have stopped them...even held them to 25 and a half yards, the game is over. But no, somehow, the Packers defense sucks so bad that they let a team get 28 yards. The refs gave a good spot as I think he only got 26 yards but he still made the 1st down. Then we go to overtime. And Brett Favre, the idiot that he is, throws the ball up for grabs and gets intercepted. I have never been a Favre fan. I have been sick of hearing how he is such a great QB when in the first half of his career, all he did was make mistakes and throw tons of interceptions. And yet, he has a run of like 4 or 5 good seasons and people put him in the same sentence as Elway, Montana, and Marino. Please. He didn't impress me at all in this game, just heaving balls up and his receivers had to make the plays. Well, for some reason, instead of throwing the ball away and keeping his season alive, he just chucked it. It was 15 yards over his receiver's head and intercepted. I'm starting to wonder if Brett hangs out with Pete Rose. Hmmm. God, I hope the Eagles lose this week or I'll have to hear about them for at least 2 more weeks...sigh.
