So the season concludes with Bullets finishing in the NBL wilderness of ninth position, just missing out by a single place on the playoffs, but avoiding relegation by one spot too.

Bullets started the season brightly enough, only dropping one game in the first eight, including a great win over Worthing, who went on to finish 21-3. However, when the senior team started to fall apart with injuries to players, notably Corey Jackson, star player Fabulous Flournoy was recalled and the A team never really recovered. In Fab's 10 games with the team, he put up great stats of 14.3ppg, 7.2rpg, 4apg, 3.5spg, 2.2bpg, good enough to lead the team in all those categories at the time. It just shows what a big loss he was. He also won player of the month for October (I think).

The A team then went on a losing streak of 13(!!) games that lasted over 3 months. During the run, Bullets added a few more names to the roster, to get a bit more experience. Douaine Anderson returned from the States and (older than Clive) George Branch made a comeback for the Bullets.

The worst game was maybe when they were blown out by champs-to-be Teeside by 44 points. Ouch. The team reached a low point where players weren't turning up regularly. Sykander Ahmed, a Bullets under-20, deserves credit for stepping up in place of Ricky Middleton, who was a shadow of his ealier season self. Also Paul Gerald played a captains role and was the only Bullets player selected to the All Star Game.

Of course the day had to come and the A team got a narrow win over fellow strugglers Cardiff. They followed this up with a home win over the pathetic Mid Sussex Magic, securing their place in the Division next year.
