Celestina Popa's Biography

Celestina Popa was born in Ploiesti on July 12, 1970. She was a member
of the 1985 & 1987 Worlds teams & the 1988 Olympic team. Shortly after
the 1988 Olympics, she retired at the age of 18. She was coaching at her
home club of Petrolul Ploiesti for a while, & then in Bucharest. It was last
noted in early 1999 that she was now coaching in Canada.
