3-4 Storm

This is the 3-4 version of the "4-3 STORM" play (which was the "2-Dog Blitz" play I designed for Madden'99) I had drawn up & posted on the board last year.

SILB: Outside Behind
SLB: Blitz R Hide
CB: Lock Inside Front
FS: Inside Front
SS: Inside Front
CB: Lock Inside Front
RE: Rush M
DT: Rush M
LE: Rush M
WLB: Blitz L Hide
WILB: Inside Front

Pray 34/3-4

Lilb Man IF
Lolb Blitz R
Rcb Man LOB
Fs Man IF
Ss Man IF
Lcb Man IF
Re Rush L
Dt Rush M
Le Slant R
Rolb Blitz L
Rilb Man IF

This D is also a good run stuffer.

Bastard

3-4

LILB-outside behind
LOLB-blitz left
RCB-lock inside front
FS-deep 1/3 right
SS-blitz right hide
LCB-lock inside front
RE-flat zone right
DT-slant left
LE-flat zone left
ROLB-blitz left
RILB-blitz left

Grab the SS and line him up right behind the DT. The DT will open a huge hole and all you do is speed burst to the QB. You better be on the mark because if you miss the QB he has the middle of the field being covered by a LB. Use this play on sparingly, too much will get you killed. A friend of mine named the play after I used it on him a couple of times.

Let me know what you guys think.

Jimbo
I didn't think this would draw as much attention as it did so here is is for everyone. Please let me know how it works for you. This play is very basic but very effective, especially in longer passing situations and not too bad against the run. It basically drops 10 men into coverage and no one is open. The QB spends so much time trying to find someone he usually gets sacked or you get a deflection or an interception. If there is a completion it isn’t for much. It may sound cheesy but it works.

3-4 Formation: The Full Monte

ROLB: Man Inside

RILB: Hook Curl Zone

LILB: Hook Curl Zone

LOLB: Man Inside

RCB: Man Lock Inside

LCB: Man Lock Inside

FS: Deep ¼ Right Zone

SS: Deep ¼ Left Zone

RDE: Flat Zone Right

DT: Stunt R

LDE: Flat Zone Left

What you are going to do is take control of the DT and bring him all the way around the weak side to the QB. You will have time to get to him. When you turn the corner you can speed burst around the tackle (I have sometimes had to come so wide I have gone off the bottom of the TV screen and still come back up and gotten a sack) or take him wide and cut back inside, just get by that tackle and the QB is yours. I play the Cowboys and Leon Lett has about 15 sacks from this play alone. Please let me know how this play works for you by posting replies to the board.

3-4 Dagger

LILB Man inside front

LOLB Man inside front

RCB Man Lock inside front

FS Deep 1/4 MR

SS Man inside front

LCB Man lock inside front

RE Rush slant L

DT Rush slant L

LE Rush slant L

ROLB Blitz L

RILB Flat zone R

use sparingly against 3 or more WR sets. For bets results, play bump n' run unless somebody goes in motion, then results will be worse.

Hellion

Someone told me once that there's a right and wrong, and that punishment would come to those who dare to cross the line.

LILB Hook curl zone

LOLB Curl flat L

RCB Man lock inside front

FS Deep half R

SS Deep half L

LCB Man lock inside front

RE Stunt L

DT Slant R

LE Rush M

ROLB Curl Flat R

RILB Hook curl zone

The defensive line will often get a good pash rush all by itself. Use the strong side DE to get a good outside rush. Again, don't use this defense against pass-happy formations.

Hellion

ok...here's what you do

3-4

ILBs blitz M

OLBs blitz L

CBs lock inside front

DEs flat zone L(RE) R(LE)

DT slant L

the safties are in zone coverage 1/3 deep L(FS) and R(SS)

now what you do is control the LILB. you place him right behind the DT. when the play starts, delay your blitz for a second and the DT has cleared a path to the QB. All you do is accelerate through the hole and MURDA the QB! don't worry, if you can't get through, the coverage is good so that'll give you more time. the key is to have good CBs and a very good DT. The better the DT, the better chance he has to open that hole. This play is about 85% MONEY. I recommend that you use this on passing situations coz its weak vs the run. I'd like your responses!

patience is a virtue and now here is the big pay off here is the defensive play murder. first i will talk a little bit about it. i love running plays from the 3-4 defense because of the great coverage you have with 4 linebackers covering the pass, but the pass rush i got was always so bad that there was always time to wait for a man to get open, well not with this play. I experimented untill i developed a stunt play with my 3 down linemen that is successful at least 80% of the time. i play on the all madden level with all the computer AI's to the max and they can't move the ball. what really suprised me about this play is that it is also impossible to run against, i didn't even plan this when making it. ok here it is.

the play is run out of the 3-4 defense

*all linebackers man-outside behind

*both corners man-lock inside front

*fs zone-deep 1/4 r

*ss zine-deep 1/4 l

*re rush-stunt l

*dt rush-slant r

*le rush-slant l

the key to this play is the end who will do the stunt, it will always be the end on the weak side , the dt and the other end slanting in opposite directions create a whole in the middle of the line and the end stunts right through it. know you need to be the dt and come down hard on the guard who is on the weak side that the de will be stunting from, come down hard on him and do a quick swim move to help opeen up the hole. once you see the de coming through the hole take control of him and Murder the QB. i'm not saying you'll sack him everytime, but the coverage on this play is so good that even if you don't your opponent will have to read your defense good to find a reciever who is in man coverage, because nobody will be open. don't give up on this play practice it over and over again, it's incredible. i run this play over and over against the computer at the highest possible level and they can't adjust. the coverage is so good that when i miss the initial sack i have time to get up and still make the sack because the computer is still trying to find somewhere to throw the ball. so if you are a good defensive player who takes control of his men to defend passes this play is your dream. this play covers the rb for a loss or a minimum gain as well as te wr and the te. the slot and the te are the people who get man coverage a lot and really are the only possible options, but they will be covered. remember the stunt is important practice it over and over again. this play also stops a qb from scrambling the de that slants left and the dt that slants right usually make outside in case the qb wants to escape the de thats stunting up the middle. it's Murder. someone please give me some feed back on this play. just watch even is a player catches the ball on you there are always 2 or 3 guys around him going in for the kill, better yet just let the play run and sit back and watch how good the coverage is.
