PLAYER PROFILES :

. Pravin Amin
   Right arm medium fast.
Known for the amount of swing generated
on a helpful track/day. Right hand Batsman.
Founding member of the club since 1994.

. Pratap (Ranji Trophy Player)
Right arm fast medium pacer. Right hand middle order Batsman.
Pratap is a genuine find for the club. He has now found is peak
form with his bowling. He is easily the fastest bowler in the
club, who can kick up the bowl from good length. Has nice leg cutters
and out swingers. Also is promising with the Bat.

Pratap has played Ranji Trophy for Rajasthan, in India during his
college days and was Captain of the BITS, Pliani Cricket team during
    his college days.

. Nitashu
Middle order batsman and medium fast bowler. One of the
younger members of PCC, Nitashu brings with him a lot of energy and
talent. very capable batsman in the upper middle order and a genuine
medium fast bowler. Also a great fielder both at slip and in the deep.
Nitashu also played for Delhi at the under 16 level. At his age
you can some times notice improvement from month to month. A tireless
and loyal supporter of Plano Tigers team whose hunger for Cricket can
only be matched by Pravin :-)

The most consistent and reliable all rounder in the team.

. Saurabh

One of the best allrounders in the team. Saurabh joined the team
in early 2002 playing his first match against the Hill country CC
team from Austin featuring the fastest bowler in the USA (Usman Shuja).
Saurabh took a great running catch and hit the winning shot coming
in to bat at lower order in his first game. It was quite obvious from
first day that he is a great fielder and good cricketer. With time and
more games under his belt it became quite obvious that Sauarbh was
genuinely good all rounder. One of the two best fielders in the
team, a accurate medium pace bowler who is quite effective at controlling
the runs and getting wickets as well. A solid batsman at the upper batting
order, Saurabh has many fifties and a couple of centuries to his name.
In the absence of the regular wicket keeper Saurabh once kept the wickets
in a important game. Saurabh surprized everybody in the team including
himself :-) with the way he kept the wickets that day. He proved he was
indeed better than any keeper Tigers had in last several years. He is
a natural sportsman that in my opinion would excel at any sports he would
take on, like Nitashu. He is easily one of the best players in the team
and his best cricketing days in front of him.

. Piyush Patel

Piyush came to Plano Tigers in early 2002 from Tulsa. We knew that
he is a good Batsman, but we didn't know that he was this good!!. I have
not seen any body in NTCA league hit the ball as cleanly as Piyush. He
sees the ball early and has wide variety of shots. As one would enjoy
Tendulkar's century in progress far more than another Batsman's, same
is true of watching Piyush's innings compared to any other player in
the NTCA league. He is a complete cricketer who puts the ball right
on the spot while bowling and easily one of the best fielder in the team
if not the very best. Yes one can be coached to play excellent cricket,
but not the kind Piyush plays. That is pure and simple 'talent' that
one just has to be born with. Piyush played with many Baroda Ranji/test
players in his High School team and would have gone on
to play Ranji for Baroda, had he not moved to USA after high school.

guard his wicket in the middle order. Veteran member since 1994.

. Rajan
Medium Fast bowler and lower order batsman. Generates a decent
amount of nip off the wicket and is deceptively quick. Maintains a good
length on and around off stump. He will respond with a bouncer if the
Umpire gives the Batsman 'not out' when Rajan thinks he is out.

. Mohan B
   Right arm medium fast.
Keeps the ball on the spot, naggingly accurate.
Also a valuable Batsman in the lower order who has many
'winning shots' to his credit. Goes by the nickname "Mohan Pyare".

. Vikas
medium Fast bowler and hard-hitting lower order batsman. Vikas
is quick in the air and on his day can trouble the best of batsmen. He
has often contributed with his lusty hitting using the long handle on a
few occasions already. Vikas played in state level tournaments in U.P.
and trained with Ranji Trophy players for Uttar Pradesh in early nineties.

. Jeevan
Lower middle order batsman and occasional leg spinner. Can use

deep and close in. Probably the best fielder in cover. Can turn his arm
    over when required.

. Raj
Opening batsman and medium pacer. Raj is a utility cricketer who
can fill in virtually anywhere in the team when required. Opens the
batting and has shown good promise. Fairly nippy off the wicket on his
day when he bowls. Still trying to fine tune a perfect fielding spot
for Raj. Another gung ho enthusiastic member of the team both
on and off the field with a unshakable positive attitude. An official
    Plano Tigers Party Animal.

. Hari
Right arm medium pacer. Hari is a accurate bowler who keeps a good
line and length. A regular at practice sessions and a complete team
player. Hari is always cheerful with a ready smile. Takes his cricket
seriously and can bowl in nets endlessly with spot on accuracy.

.Arul
Arul is Right hand middle order Batsman and right arm
medium pace bowler. Arul can contribute with both Bat and
Bowl. His aggressive batting in the late middle order is
perfect as a 'finisher' of the innings. He has manny a times
played explosive innings for the club and bring home the victories.
Arul is also a very good nippy bowler with fast rising delieveries.

Very atheletic, fit and busy on the field. Loves to volunteer
for umpiring and ready to volunteer for club activities. Been with
    the club since late 2000.

. Gokul
Right arm leg-spinner and middle order batsman. Gokul gives the
ball a big tweak and generates a fair amount of turn. Also has excellent
control. Along with his reliable middle order batting, good fielding and
excellent attitude, he is a true find for the club and is a genuine all
rounder. He has played for Tamil Nadu at the Under 16 and 19 levels.

. Salahuddin
Right hand opening bat, Wicketkeeper and occasional medium
pacer. Salahuddin has demonstrated an ability to be an attacking opening
batsman who plays his shots from the get-go. Has excellent technique.
Also a safe wicketkeeper most times. Can also turn his arm over when
required. A genuine find for the club. He has played for Islamabad at
    the Under 16 level.

. Raghu
Right arm off spinner and hard hitting middle order bat. Raghu
is a genuine off spinner and a hard hitting middle order batsman. Is
getting back in the groove after a break from cricket. Has already shown
glimpses of what he is capable of. A very promising prospect for the
club. Has played for Karnataka at the Under 16 and 19 levels.

. Sangam
Right arm off spinner and middle order bat. Sangam fires in
his off spinners at a lively pace and gives the batsman little time to
play his shots. Is accurate most times. Also a useful bat in the middle
order. Has shown excellent attitude and commitment in his short
    association with the club.

. Ashok
Right arm medium pacer and lower middle order bat. A very
promising cricketer, Ashok bowls at a decent pace and keeps a good line
and length. Also a useful lower middle order bat. Shows signs of
becoming an important member of the team. Also played for Delhi at
under 16 level as wicketkeeper/Batsman. A very observant Player who knows
strengths and weaknesses of every Player that he has seen once. Ashok
is quickly becoming engrossed in Tigers's team chemistry and is busy
working up new formulas for team success.

. Rajesh

Rajesh is a right hand bat and right arm medium pace bowler.
Rajesh is a very consistent scorer at the lower middle order.
Also very effective medium pace bowler with decent pace, line

both bat and bowl. He is very similar to Salim Kotadia from
Ismailia team in terms of both batting and bowling. Very regular
at both practice and games. Was a consistent performer playing
   for his college team.

. Mounish
Mounish is a 16 year old budding cricketer. Very enthusiastic
cricketer who is willing to play cricket everyday given the
opportunity. Mounish joined the club when he was 15 years old
and has attended every practice session every single week and has been
present at every Tigers' game, whether he is in the playing 11 or
not. Mounish is promising and has a very good potential. He is a decent
right hand batsman and can bowl both medium pace bowling at a
deceptive pace with a short run-up and also spin bowling. With regular
coaching he has a good future ahead of him. His game has continued to
improve at a rapid rate. With age on his side he is likely to follow
    Nitashu's track record.

. Raghavan

Middle order bat/part time medium pacer. Excellent fielder in the
outfield and has a great throwing arm. Has already made an impression as
one of the best fielders in the Tigers camp and has shown good promise
as a useful middle order batsman who can work the ball around and/or
push matters along when needed. Good team player and motivator.
Possesses an excellent sense of humor and is quickly becoming popular
for his witty outbursts from time to time on and off the field. Raghavan
has really latched on to the "Mohan Pyare" name.

team. Has recently showed signs of rediscovering his batting form after
a long lay-off from the game. Normally a very safe catcher.

Gentle medium pacer and lower order batsman. A utility
cricketer who can bowl a reliable spell of bowling on most occasions

Also a Right arm Fast medium pace bowler who is focusing
on Batting this days. A batsman in form. Only time will tell if his
