Season Hype

How It Is

Well, well. Video killed the radio star and now it's coming for the boys by the pool. We'll be waiting. The Season is upon us and we have to believe that the greatest sport ever is in for another stellar season. As I look around the league I see some injuries that could be tragic to some teams. Jamal Lewis is the first to come to mind. What a tragedy. Not really. Aside from having Elvis Grbac on my fantasy team (as a backup) I would love nothing more than to see this team fail miserably. The only problem is that now if they do fail Shannon Sharpe has something to blame for the dissappointment. I did a little homework and discovered that Ike Hilliard has been injured more days than he has been healthy. Okay you all know I had nothing to do with homework but I'm probably right anyway. Bold prediction time. THE STEELERS WILL WIN THE SUPER BOWL THIS YEAR. First they have to trade for QB Payton Manning. Tony Gonzales at tight end comes in to replace Mark Bruener. I'd like to pick up Terrell Owens too for Manning to throw to. As soon as the final touches are made to bring in Jevon Kearse, Charles Woodson, Chris McAlister, and the return of Levon Kirkland, I think they start click. This could be the team to beat for years to come. Plus, sign high priced free agents and then trade them to teams for draft picks. That way the draft doesn't kill you in the next couple of years. I'm telling you it works on my Playstation 2. The technical offices here at Poolside East should be up and running for you by next week. I apologize for the short article this week but you're probably all thankful anyway. Please enjoy my new edition to the Poolside, Fantasy Plays. Oh, Terry. I'm going to add a new area directed towards the fantasy player. This will call out two players in each offensive position (that does not include Cowboys violations) that I feel will have particularly good weeks. And if you don't agree, TOO DAMN BAD!
