PinYin Test -- A Software to help learning Pinyin
I the worst programmer of the millennium present to you this little
Window95 executable.
Software Description
This software is targeted for people who:
- are able to read Chinese character
- know how to pronounce the character in Mandarin given the Pinyin
- want to memorize the Pinyin for a given Chinese character.
The program will display a Chinese character each time, and the user's
task is to type in the correct Pinyin for the charecter. Currently,
only 120 characters are included.
The original purpose of the program is to help me as a Cantonese
Speaking Chinese to remember all the Pinyins, as my Mandarin
pronounciation is being criticized by a Russian.
System Requirement and Installation:
Since I have only test it on one single computer, namely my computer,
so I do not really know the system requirements. I gather that a
computer with Window95 should be able to run the program. In addition,
the chinese characters are coded in GB. Therefore will require
special software to display chinese character, e.g.
njwin, richwin.
To install it, you just need to download the zip file
py_01.zip, and unzip it in a directory of your
choice. I think it is too small to justify an installation program.
The programme is coded in C complied with
lcc-Win32
and the source code can be obtained by downloading the zip file
py_01s.zip. You are welcomed to change
anything, but PLEASE tell me any bugs.
