First things first: As you all know by now, George's father passed away last  
week.  Mr. Beas (as I called him) was one of the most gentle and kindest of   
men, always with a smile on his face, and never negative.  Every bone in his  
body exuded warmth to family, friends, and even strangers.  We are lucky to   
have known him, and will miss him.  Our thoughts and prayers go to George and 
his family.                                                                   
                                                                              
Meanwhile in football news, the last week of the OFL season's first half      
approaches with the $50 prize money at stake.  Rocky, Dom, Frank, and Keith   
are in contention.                                                            
                                                                              
Apologies for the absence of the OFL Web site this past weekend.  Contrary to 
Leon's conspiracy theories, events beyond our control caused this outage, as  
the provider - not the Vitranos - took the servers down.

And in suicide news, it was a very, very, very ugly weekend in the NFL for    
favored teams.  As such, 10 of 12 owners committed mass suicide in pool #2 by 
drinking a concoction of epidural jungle juice made in extremely large        
pitchers.  The fatal mixture was known as "Giant Redskin Punch".  The good    
news (for Dom anyway) was that there were a couple of fatalities (Rocky and   
Dave) in pool #1 who drank from the same vat.  This resulted in Dom winning   
the $120 - Congratulations!  If everyone agrees, Pool #3 will start in week 8 
as the 2nd half of the OFL season gets underway.  Keith and Tony will         
continue to vie for the pool #2 prize money.
