The Bucs First Championship: A Dozen Days in January

Buccaneers merchandise had become an extremely hot commodity. As a matter of
fact, the Bucs topped the NFL in sales that season. People were waiting in
line for hours just to buy an NFC Championship hat or shirt. They would get
there before stores opened. They would go from store to store chasing rumors
that a shipment of Bucs stuff was due. A fever had engulfed Tampa Bay.
My wife and I played the looking for Bucs stuff game. In several local stores there were signs stating "Line Starts Here." By the time we had a chance to go shopping, there was nothing to lineup for. We listened to rumors of stores getting shipments and people saying they got merchandise at a certain store. All we could find were a few boring T-shirts, which I didn't want to pay the money for and I said I'd wait to buy a Super Bowl shirt.
