Note! Elvis Stojko or "The King of jumps" as he is known has surely been the most consistant male figure skater in the past 4-6 years. He has won everything. Only the most important title(Olympic Gold) has eluded him twice, both times he was defeated by russians(1994:Urmanov, 1998:Kulik), But as Worlds he has been virtually unbeatable with 3 world titles to his crown. Stojko´s interest for martial arts is truly reflected in many of his programs, where he has founded his own style to compete with the more classical style of many of his rivals. On the ice Stojko is the best jumper the World has ever seen.
He was the first man ever to achieve the quad-tripple toe-loop combination in competition, and with his very fast footwork to go with the jumps, very few figure skaters are apple to match his technical skills. His presentation has improved rapidly over the years from having been a real weakness in his programs, his presentation is now almost on the level of some the best artistic skaters in the World, some say even better!!
