Note! This young and very promising skater has got her breakthrough last season(1997-1998). She is one of the many ladies coming from the former Sovjet who has the ability to fight with the best in the World. Her compatriot Irina Slutskaya has already shown the way by becoming the first ladies European Champion to come out of the former Sovjet, now Sokolova will have the chance to follow in her footsteps together with other young girls from Russia.
On the ice she is a fresh personality always smiling and seemingly having fun, something others could learn a lot from. In big competitions she is still a little inexperienced, but she has the talent to improve on her already good list of results.
