After coming off a 7-4 loss against Poughkeepsie, the team got a slow start and let up a goal about halfway through the first half. T.J Helly had a chance to tie it up on a breakaway, but the keeper made an excellent save. Carmel found their game in the second half and moved the ball extremely well. They dominated the play and had several quality chances to score. T.J Helly was finally able to convert on a ball headed over the defense by Ryan Towers to bring the game to 1-1. Carmel continued to fight hard, winning balls in the middle and creating scoring opportunities. The Valley Central goalie made some great saves to prevent Carmel from going ahead. The game went into overtime and once again, Carmel had opportunities, but just couldn't convert.
