Carmel moved the ball well in the first half and Luke Shkreli found the back of the net just two minutes before halftime. Carmel suffered some injuries to key players in the second half and their level of play started to drop off. Brett Southard made a huge save on a penalty shot to maintain the lead, but FDR just fought even harder. FDR scored the equalizer with five minutes left in the game to send it to overtime. Carmel had numerous opportunities to score the game winner, but they just can't seem to finish the ball. Carmel had to settle for a tie in what should have beeen a league win.
