Class Work Portfolio
Guidelines and Assessments
The following guidelines will be used throughout the school year for the class work portfolio. All work will be kept in a folder labeled with your name and class period.
Folders will not leave the classroom! If your folder is missing you are responsible for replacing it and its contents. This assessment is worth 10% of your average.
Guidelines:
1- All classroom assignments will be placed in portfolio folder.
2- Assignments will be graded on a point value scale.
3- Assignments will have a due date, if you do not complete the assignment on its due date, points will be deducted or a zero will be given.
4- If you need to make up an assignment due to absence you must come after school, before school or during lunch. THERE WILL BE NO EXCUSES!
5- Classroom assignments may be used on test as open notes. Incomplete assignments or missing assignments will NOT be allowed. If you do not make up an assignment by the time a test is given, you will not be able to use that assignment.
6- Partners will be chosen at the beginning of each quarter. You will be able to work together through the quarter on all assignments. You may not change partners or work with someone else. If your partner is absent then you are responsible to make sure they know about the assignment.
7- The overall portfolio grade will be based on the assessment guidelines. See attached.
8- All students must read and sign the attached section and hand in to Ms. Ripollone.
9- Grade will be a combination of assignments and assessment grade.
