Students
will watch one CSI episodes and two Forensic File episodes
Using Library resources, books, Internet or other research resources, students will write a report on the “science principles” in both programs and make a comparison between the two programs.
Paper should include the following:
1- Characters involved (Both Shows)
2- Background information on Cases (summarization)
3- Describe the Crime Scene
4- Choose 3 Instruments used in the investigation to help solve the crimes: Instruments can include different solutions and lab equipment. You cannot use Data Bases as a scientific instrument: For example the Fingerprint Data Base. Use the glossary link: CSI Glossary or CSI Website to help you find the instruments used in the CSI episode. Use the Forensic Files Website to investigate the Forensic File episode.
5- Background on instruments: relate the scientific principles behind the instruments used. (use resources on forensic science).
6- Describe the Methods in which the characters use the instruments available for their investigations.
7- Explain how different science principles are used to solve the crimes. Include at least 2 concepts. Be thorough in your explanation for both episodes.
8- Compare the Real Life Forensics to CSI- Use the internet to find articles on this topic.
Report is to be 4 pages typed. All sources are to be listed. You must have at least 3 sources, works cited page does not count as four pages. 1 source must be a book.

No excuses!
Some episodes will be watched in class. Students may use new episodes also.
