Mark’s Confessional:
Oh I really need to watch what I do around Bret. I feel so bad. The other day I was reading the paper and didn’t see the article on the back about these people being murdered by their neighbor. There was a picture and everything. It didn’t help that the description of the guy was a dark and mysterious character. I’ve made up my mind, I’m taking him out of this house to do something.
“Whats going on here” Bret whines from behind a blindfold, “where are you taking me, I don’t want to leave the house.”
“Well thats just too bad” Disco says sternly, “cause you are leaving and you’re going with us.”
“But what if...” Bret starts.
“Don’t worry man, we’re watching our backs” Marks tries to calm him down, “we’ll notice if the guy follows us. Plus I don’t think he’ll find us where we’re going.”
“Did no one else want to come along” Disco quietly asks Mark.
“Val was still asleep, Mick was engrossed in Blue’s Clues, and Randy was off at the gym” Mark explains, “besides I think its best that we deal with him ourselves.”
Bret feels himself being led out of the car, he hears the laughter of small children and the smell of fried dough. Suddenly the sound of far away screaming hits his ears, a swift smile comes to his face at the thought of where he might be, but he represses it so the guys won’t see. He can hear Mark buying tickets, and he hears him ask for the total pass for the whole day. Bret begins to get a bit jumpy with anticipation. Disco and Mark smile at each other seeing Bret’s reaction.
“Hey Mick” Randy’s voice rings through the front hall, “where is everyone.”
“Ummmm I think Val went out and Mark and Disco took Bret to that theme park in the next county” Mick replies.
“They actually got him to leave the house” Randy asks very surprised at the new development.
“Well they tricked him out of the closet by offering food and then jumped him, blindfolded him, and threw him on the car” Mick laughs thinking about it.
“Well at least hes out of the house” Randy says, “maybe now he’ll be a little more normal and not so paranoid.”
While running through the hall of mirrors, Bret tries to follow Disco closely so he doesn’t get lost only to run into a wall of glass. “Oh man, now I’ll never get out” he mumbles to himself, “Disco where are you” he yells. No response comes to him so he begins to search for his way out. Right was he finds the door he turns around again to see and all to familiar face surrounding him. Screaming he takes off out the door and runs straight to Mark for protection.
“What, what happened” Mark says grabbing on to Bret’s shoulders slightly shaking him.
“In the mirrors, I saw him in the mirrors” Bret just barely gets it out.
“Yeah I see” Mark says walking away from Bret and towards the stranger.
“Whats going on” Disco runs up behind Bret.
“I don’t know, but we may have to call an ambulance” Bret giggles with a little bit of insanity in his voice.
Disco’s Confessional:
You know, it takes a lot to make Mark loose his temper. But I think he had just finally had enough of Bret being driven insane. I really can’t believe that the guy didn’t run when he saw Mark coming towards him. We got kicked out of the park and had to calm Mark down, you know after the taste of blood its hard to get calmed down.
“Dude whats that all over your shirt” Val asks Mark as the big guy enters the house.
“Oh thats barbecue sauce” Mark snickers.
“No I mean that below it” Val says pointing out the stain.
“Blood” Bret laughs as he walks through the room.
Mark tells Val what happened at the theme park. And says how hes glad he finally did it, maybe now the guy will stay away from the house. Everyone goes on with their daily rutines, and Bret finally goes back to normal. Mark seems to deny ever loosing his temper, and Mick is upset over the fact that he missed the whole thing. Only Randy notices the pair of eyes gleaming through the bushes.
“Hey guys look whats outside” Randy squeals.
“No Randy don’t open the door” Val exclaims.
Randy doesn’t listen and opens the door and grabs a small kitten out of the bush. “Hes soooo cute!” he squeals again, “can we keep him.”
“Well all right” Mark chuckles, “if it makes you happy.”
“Finally we can all go on” Disco walks out to the pool.
