Mark’s Confessional:
Brets really upset at the fact that our mysterious neighbor hasn’t been around for the past few days. I’m really hoping that Bret scared the guy away when he attacked him the other day with a shovel. Of course now hes really paranoid about it, he thinks the guy could pop up at any moment.
“Hey Val, where are you going” Disco asks Val seeing that hes really dressed up.
“Out with a girl that I met the other day” Val snickers to himself.
“Thats the third night in a row that you’ve gone out with a woman” Disco replies, “don’t
you ever get tired of going out every night with a different woman.”
“You don’t know me too well do you” Val just laughs as he leaves the house.
“Don’t sweat it man” Mark says sneaking up behind Disco, “we could always go out and
try to get you some girls.”
“Yeah lets go” Mick runs up the stairs to get ready. Randy just shakes his head as he goes
to make him self look wonderful.
“Are you going to come Bret” Mark asks as Bret stares out the window with his
binoculars.
“NO!” Bret loudly states, “I’m not leaving until I know where he is.”
“Fine be that way” Mark sighs as he goes to get his car keys.
Disco’s Confessional:
I really don’t want to leave Bret here all alone. I mean what if that guy shows up again and none of us are here to keep Bret from going over the edge again. Mark says we’re just going to have to leave him here and trust that nothing happens, I sure hope hes right.
Bret stares out the window most of the night. When he gets hungry he saunters into the kitchen to make himself a sandwich. Upon returning to the window his sandwich hits the floor. There on the other side of the glass, not even attempting to hide, is the mystery man staring right back at Bret. Instead of lunging at him as usual, Bret actually becomes frightened by the man and begins to back up. All of a sudden he disappears as if he really wasn’t there to begin with.
The sound of the door opening up brings relief to Bret as he goes to report to his buddies about the guy in the window. Unfortunately, the only one there to greet him is the mystery man. Now Bret is enraged and runs at him with a rolled up newspaper, “Bad, Bad neighbor!!” he screams as he whacks the man over the head with the paper. At the oddness of Bret’s attack the mystery man runs back out the door vowing to never give up his mission.
Randy’s Confessional:
I’m not sure if I really want to believe Bret’s story of the man trying to break in and attack him, especially the part about him chasing him off with a rolled up newspaper. All I know is we have to get him out of the house, soon.
“Why is it that I can’t get any normal roommates” Randy wonders outloud to himself as
Disco walks by in a pair of his outrageous pants.
“And you call yourself normal” Mark chuckles from the couch.
Randy just goes up the stairs and secludes himself from the rest of the “freaks” in the
house.
“Of course I don’t blame him for thinking that” Mark mumbles to himself as he looks
over to see Bret crouched in the corner with a baseball bat ready to strike at any moving
thing. Mark just shakes his head at Bret and goes back to reading the paper not noticing
the picture on the back page that Bret can’t stop looking at.
