For every game, every player should bring soccer or turf shoes, water, a disc and light and dark shirts.
Players should show up around 6pm, and games should start at 6:30pm.
Warm up before games to avoid injury
No alcohol is allowed on the fields.
All players must have signed the waiver/roster and given their $2 to Corvallis Parks & Recreation.
For Wilamette, "A" field is closer to the river, "B" field is closer to the disc golf course.
Team captains may be called upon for rule and procedure clarification. It is also up to the captains to meet before the game to decide on initial possession, pull directions, shirt colors (light/dark) and agree on any rule changes (i.e. less than 7 players, game to 13, game disc, etc.)
All games will be played with a minimum of 3 players of each gender on the field at all times. If a team is unable to field 3 members of each gender at 6:30pm, the team with the shortage must forfeit the game. Captains should then decide how to play the resulting "unofficial" game (such as with an exchange of players.) In the case where plenty of players of each gender are available to both teams, captains may agree to allow the recieving team to determine the gender balance (play with 4men/3women or 3men/4women.) In a situation where an injury during play results in a situation where a team is unable to play with 3 women, the captains should agree on how to resolve the problem. (A forfeit is not necessary but is one of several options.)
Games are to 15 points, win by 2 up to a maximum of 17 points.
Each team has 3 time outs per game. These can only be called when the disc is in your team’s possession and only by the player holding the disc. The disc is brought back into play at the same spot by the same player at the same stall count. All other players may be positioned as they wish.
Play nice. Have fun. Congratulate an opponent on a good play. Smile for a satellite picture.
Substitutions can only be made between points except for injury substitutions. If a player subs out because of injury, the other team may sub one player if they choose.
Stall count begins at "stalling 1", not 0. Turnover is at the first utterance of 10 (although the entire "ten" must be spoken.)
The "new" UPA pull rule will be used: If the disc lands and stops in bounds, it must be played from the point where it rests. If a disc lands in bounds but slides or rolls out of bounds, it may be brought to the point on the field proper (i.e side line or front of the end zone) nearest where it went out of bounds. If the disc lands out of bounds, it may be brought to the center of the field at the point nearest where it went out of bounds or at the brick mark (the center of the field 15 yards from the end zone line.)
A dropped disc on the pull is a turnover.
Everyone should keep in the front of their mind the "SPIRIT OF THE GAME". This emphasis on clean play, sportsmanship and respect for all players is the cornerstone of ultimate and its associated culture.

Before each game, captains meet to determine who will pull/recieve, which end teams will begin play from and which jersey colors teams will wear. This is commonly done by flipping two discs in the air and calling "same" or "different". The team that wins the flip then has the option of selecting to pull/recieve or which end they wish to start at. The other team gets their choice for the other issue. The same can be done for jerseys with the winning team electing light or dark. Captains may choose methods alternative to flipping such as rock/paper/scissors, cowboy/ninja/bear, odd/even, etc.
Mirror @ half: After a team reaches 8 points (halftime), the original pull orientation is "mirrored" by swapping positions from that first pull. For example, if the dark team pulled from the west end of the field to begin the game, the light team will pull from the west end of the field to start the second half.
