A: Inspirational. "They make us want to be a better team," to borrow from Jack Nicholson, "better" meaning "better spirit", however you define it. Excellent knowledge of the rules (though this is certainly not a requirement for this ‘grade’). Brings up spirit level of all players in the game.

B: Respectful. Good clean competition. Enjoyable no matter what the outcome of the game.

C: Ambivalent. Good game, maybe some questionable calls. Safe, but "If there was to be positive spirit, we had to make the first move" kind of feeling.

D: Insulting. Negative atmosphere. Players openly questioning the integrity of other players.

F: Dangerous and/or abusive. Dangerous playing conditions which even continued after captains’ discussion. Players felt some or significant fear when playing. Or, behavior so out of line, such as derogatory comments or personal attacks, that it made the game nearly impossible to enjoy at any level.
