A LITTLE BACKGROUND ON MYSELF

   I was born in 1958, Euclid, Ohio. Fortunately,it was a family of rabid football fans. Unfortunately, they were Cleveland Browns fans.

   Sometimes,you never know what fate has in store for you. My father was transferred to Bethel Park, a suburb of Pittsburgh in 1965. I was too young to remember the terrible ordeal I was forced to endure in Browns Land.

   The Steelers sucked when I first started really watching football,(Terry Hanratty was the starting Q.B.) but it didn't matter to me. It was my town, and my team. I can remember playing football when I was a kid, and pretending to be Frenchy Fuqua. I would watch the games every Sunday, and occasionally have the honor of going to the game. My father and my brother were still Browns brainwashed, and couldn't understand how I could follow such a losing team. Things would soon get better, even though I didn't know it at the time. We drafted Joe Greene to lead the defense, and the following year, Terry Bradshaw to lead the offense. Franco, Swann, Stallworth, etc., would soon follow.

   In 1972, my family moved to Canada, but my undying love did not stay behind. That same year, a rookie named Franco Harris made what would become known as "The Immaculate Reception". It was a spring board that would reward the Steelers with four Superbowl trophies, and some of the greatest players the NFL has ever seen.

   I still reside in Canada but make frequent visits to watch the Steelers whenever possible. I have been married since August 19th,2007 to a beautiful woman named Jeanette.She puts up with my obsession, and has even started loving the Steelers herself. I have three sons from a previous mistake that Couldn't Understand Normal Thinking. Their names are Matthew, Marc, and Micheal. Each one, I am proud to say, is a fan of the B&G!

   I have followed the team relentlessly over the years, and this page is a tribute to the team, and the game I love.
