Yakum FC vs. Mishmar-Hasharon

We have some good news and some bad news: The bad news are: FC drew again this week, this time versus Mishmar-Hasharon. The good news, however, are that FC scored 4 goals this game, with an injury stricken line up.

FC scored first, after only 2 minutes: Ilan A. got a ball in the right wing, penetrated into the box and scored from an angle - 0:1 FC. But instead of taking advantage of the momentum, FC suffered a setback: Mishmar won a corner from the left; the ball was sent to the close corner and FC's defense failed to head it away - 1:1. Mishmar took over midfield and converted their dominance in the 25th minute. A well developed attack came from the left, the ball was passed on to the right, crossed into the center to the open man, and he scored the 2nd for Mishmar - 2:1.

FC made some major changes in the line up in the 2nd half: Eli, the goalkeeper was sent to midfield and David G. replaced him in goal. Amir R. was moved up to midfield and Uzi G. (weak) was moved back to the full back position. The changes proved to be the remedy for FC's weak midfield. FC leveled the score in the first minute of the 2nd half: Amir A. slalomed from left midfield to the top of the box and sent a cross shot to the left: 2:2. The R&B took control, but continued to miss on golden opportunities when Mishmar stroke again from the corner: Mauro K. flicked Mishmar's corner kick right into the middle of the 5 box to a Mishmar open man, who scored easily - 3:2. Then, it was the time of the goalies to deliver their presents. First was Mishmar's goalie, who held the ball while arguing with his teammates, ignoring the 5-second limit. The referee whistled (after more than 15 secs) tore him away from his conversation, and FC converted through Ilan A, scoring after a shift from Amir - 3:3. However, David G. had soon returned the gift. As he picked a stray ball, he lost his concentration and could not decide whether to use his hands. While he was thinking, Mishmar player surprised him, stole the ball and scored - 4:3. It was late in the 2nd half, and Mishmar brought on all their defenders in order to keep the score, but the R&B didn't give up: they attacked vigorously and after 5 minutes Eli headed a cross from the right to score the final goal - 4:4.

The score benefits FC, who played without 6(!) of their opening line-up (Oded, Itay, David Z, Idan, Ran, and Dudu), and with only 1 substitute player throughout the match. On the other hand, the R&B have not won for 6 weeks, and the next one is against Givat-Haim…

C ya in 2 weeks.
