FC's holidays' giveaway: come get some…E. Eliashiv did!
After a good performance last week, the R&B were impatient. They thought they were out of the blues… Boy, were they wrong! E. Eliashiv came to FC Stadium, created half a chance during the whole game and scored 3 goals to win the game 3:2
It started excellent for FC: the R&B scored on their first try(!) a quick ball to Roi C. at the top of the 16 box, he turned, released the shot, 1-0 FC! The 2nd followed only minutes later: FC attacked from the left, Itay R. gave it to Roi, who passed it to Eyal B. Eyal flicked it with a single touch from 17 meters and the keeper didn't even move: 2-0 FC. The R&B controlled the game completely until for the first 30 minutes but could not score, and in football, when you don't score, you receive. A rare corner for Eliashiv was enough to embarrass Eli the goalie as the ball slipped from his hands into the net: 2-1.
As the 2nd half started, it was FC allover. Amir R. was moved up to the midfield while Uzi G. was set back to the full back position. The fans gave up on counting the opportunities, and it seemed like a matter of minutes before FC will score again; but as the time passed, doubts started to creep in. it was still 2-1 FC, 10 minutes before the end, when the jinx hit the R&B point blank. Eliashiv started a nice give'n'take move in the right wing, at the end of which a simple ball was crossed in; FC's defense was daydreaming and the ball passed all the way to the left side to reach the only open man. The attacker had no trouble scoring from 7 meters to equalize the score at 2-2. A major disappointment? It was nothing compared to what was about to come: just 5 minutes passed by when another attack of Eliashiv caught the defense unready. David Z and Eli collided and the loose ball rolled to the foot of Eliashiv player who, somewhat dazzled by the surprising gift, rolled the ball into the net 3-2… another upsetting loss for the R&B.
FC players were silent after the whistle. No-one wanted (or could) say anything. Uzi G. laid back with his hands covering his face in disbelief; Amir R. just sat there motionless; but the sound of silence was loud and clear - "LOSERS" it echoed…
