Arazim stuns Yakum FC with a 4-0 victory. Yakum FC got the bad start today in the league first match against Arazim, at the local stadium. The team which suffered from injuries and no shows by key players was defeated easily by the stronger, more vigorous Arazim. It was quite obvious, even before the first whistle, that the black & reds are not ready for the season. With Eli Abutbul, the goalkeeper, a no-show, Amir Radnai (full-back) injured; and Roi Cordoba out due to army duty, Yakum intended to play defensively and try to hold court. It worked until the last minute of the 1st half, when a mistake by Idan Shacham left Arazim's striker in a 1 on 1 against David Galimidi (played g.k.) which led to an easy goal, just before half-time. The 2nd goal was very similar to the first. Again, a mistake by the fullback Idan, and it was 2-0, only minutes after the 2nd half started. It was a moral blow, and within 5 minutes, Arazim scored again, taking advantage of yet another mistake in defense, this time by the right-wing Elic Livay. By then, it was over. Yakum players made frantic attempts at Arazim's goal, but it was too weak and to slow... Another goal by Arazim, this one scored with a header after a deep cross from the left turned the remaining 20 minutes into garbage time. Yakum shortage of a midfielder that would build up the game from behind was obvious, and lots of balls were lost in midfield. Yakum FC looked anemic.
After the game, coach Mauro Koifmann said that it was a typical first match for Yakum FC, and that the team, which lost several key players during off season is still in the process of putting the parts together.
