This page is for one of my favourite Triumphs the T20 Tiger Cub.
In 1984 or thereabouts whilst I was a student I was the very proud owner of 3 bikes. A Suzuki TS100 Registration SLY 669M my first bike.
A Yammy 250XS with sidecar almost visible in this pic with the forks off.
This 1968 Bantam Cub registration KSF 690F.
This bike cost me £150 when I bought it.
Originally it had a shell blue tank with lots of matt black paint and a bit of corrosion.
With my toolkit, which consisted of a small socket set, two screwdrivers and a few spanners I stripped it down, without splitting the crankcases. With liberal use of gloss black oil based paint, Solvol and lots of patience and effort I produced the above result. I wish I still had it, but sadly £100 to a pre 65 trials rider for spare parts in about 1987 was its fate as far as I know.
This is a drawing I made when I had my cub. It is a copy of a T20SS Cub in parts catalogue No9. Looking at it I can see a few errors but if you don't look at a real Cub it looks fine. I never did finish off those wheels as the spokes got the better of my drawing ability.
