The (not-so-) famous statue of King Kamehameha. This one is found in the town of Hawi, on the Big Island. There are two other statues of King Kamehameha that I know of, one in Hilo and the other in Honolulu. The one in Honolulu is a reproduction of this one, and is seen in the opening sequence of Hawaii Five-O. This one is the original.

There's a story behind this statue. When they were bringing it over to Hawaii by boat, the boat sank, sending its cargo to the bottom of the ocean. A reproduction was made and sent to Honolulu. The original was eventually found and cleaned up. They put it in Hawi because this town is close to where King Kamehameha was born. So, remember that next time you watch Hawaii Five-O you're not seeing the 'real' King Kamehameha statue.
