Wild Turkeys 34 def. Fat Fellas 27 (Delides 12, Spagnolo 6, Sheppard 3, Watton 3, Woolfrey 2, O'Connell 1)

Disgraceful.

In what must be considered the worst performance in Fat Fellas team history, the Wild Turkeys rolled all over a
totally inept Fat Fellas in the 3rd game of the season.

The Fat Fellas shooting was an exhibition in futility, with shot after shot clanging off the ring (and some not
even hitting that). With the game close near the end of time, the Fat Fellas needed only one basket to grab the
lead as they trailed 27-28. What followed was nothing short of horrendous, as they launched about 10 three-point
attempts in the last couple of minutes...none finding their mark. They worked hard on the boards to gather
numerous second chances (and third, fourth, fifth, etc...), but it was to no avail as nothing would fall.

Throughout the game only Spagnolo had any success from range, as he netted two much-needed triples earlier in the
game. No one else could get anything going at all, and because of this the Fat Fellas fell to their first loss of
the season.

It was highlighted just how much the Fat Fellas are missing the leadership and quickness they got from Leong, and
only time will tell if they can adjust to losing their star point guard and become the Fat Fellas of old. Delides
is clearly struggling at the point, and turned the ball over on numerous occasions trying to force passes when
there wasn't a clear path available.
