SUMMER 2002 - Alexi finished out the season with LA and won his first championship. He anchored the defense and was very solid all season. He was also named to the MLS Best 11 - the best player for each position in the league. Quite an honor for sure and we'll try to talk to him next year when he comes around again.
SPRING 2002 - Alexi dominated at times and screwed up one time in the game against the Burn last weekend. For the most part, he was knocking everything (and everybody) clear, but he did not communicate correctly with the keeper on one play and thats all Jason Kreis needed to sneak in and get a goal. We did NOT have the chance to talk to him after the match, but will try to catch up with him when LA visits later in the summer.
SUMMER 2001 - We got to see Alexi after the Burn game this past Saturday. Got a few autographs and a picture - he commented on how big Alexi was since the last time we saw him. Great guy again and we'll be waiting for the next visit.
SPRING 2001 - He's baaaaaaaaaack!!!!!!!!!! Alexi missed the game so much he is playing again - for LA Galaxy this time. He'll be in Dallas on the 30th of June playing the Burn (we'll be there).
Fall 2000 - Alexi has now dived into the world of broadcasting sports. He does the San Jose Earthquakes home games and he recently joined the cast of ESPN's soccer-only show. It comes on Monday nights, ESPN2 at 10:00pm our time if you want to watch. He's quite the character.

What the heck was he thinking? KC did not stink that much!!!!!! It's okay really, everybody comes to a time when they want to stop playing - some of us just reach that point a little too early. He will be missed on the field by the fans, the players, and the MLS marketing people. Hopefully his music career is enjoyable for him and we still get to see him once in a while.Alexi and I got to see Lalas last year when KC was in town.
