THE OUTLAW vs. FIRE

Fire had gotten the call the day before, but was still debating in her head whether it was good news or bad. She had not had any singles matches scheduled for her in the POWA in quite some time, so she was happy to get the chance to be in action again. To make matters even more interesting, this was going to be the POWA's first Pay Per View event, and Fire's match would be one of the featured events. But her opponent was the cause of her consternation. The Outlaw was big, strong and malicious and the last time these two had met in the ring, Fire suffered quite a beating. But that was also the last match of the Queen of the Hill Tournament, and Fire had wrestled two matches before she got in the ring against The Outlaw. Two tough, hard fought matches which drained her of all of her energy. But now she had the chance to make up for that match, and as she thought about it more, she looked forward to the opportunity.

The critics, and there were many, didn't give Fire much of a chance against The Outlaw. After all, she had already disposed of Fire, disposed of Maggie, disposed of Sunshine and Stacey. But perhaps the youngsters' most impressive showing so far was her last match, a match she lost. Well she lost officially, but in reality she had beaten Helen senseless. The Outlaw had dominated the champion throughout the match until she finally lost control of herself and choked Helen until she got herself disqualified. The match left Helen beaten and bruised both physically and emotionally.

Fire remembered that match, remembered how Helen had broken off their relationship before that match in order to concentrate on her training. Fire was crushed by the breakup and even though she now had found a sweet guy whom she was dating, she still longed for Helen. While it was nice to be loved and appreciated by a man, there was something about Helen which Fire could not get out of her head.

Although Fire had not spoken with Helen since that match, she had still tried to keep in touch with Helen's life, she would ask about her to the other wrestlers and often drive by her apartment, hoping to see her. But deep down, fire knew it was over for good. She also knew that she had better get her head straight and concentrate on The Outlaw if she were to have any chance of defeating her.

Physically, Fire had worked her body into pretty great shape. She had toned her muscles and even dropped a couple of pounds. Her dedication to training was impressive. Even tonight, though she was tired and anxious to get to bed early, she still walked into her bedroom and grabbed her gym bag to head off and train. She opened the drawer to her night table to get her keys, but froze in her tracks as she stared at the wax mold of Helen's chest.

She had put it away in the drawer, but now the memories of the night she had made it came rushing back. Just then the doorbell rang, jarring her from her daydream. She walked to the door and opened it, shocked to see Helen standing there.

"Hey Fire... Can I come in?" Helen asked, not waiting for a response. She grabbed hold of Fire's cheeks and planted a kiss on her lips before walking past her and sitting down on the sofa.

"So.... How's things?" Helen asked. Fire was flabbergasted that Helen was seated in her living room, like nothing had ever happened. It took her a minute or two to get her wits about her, but finally the two began a polite, though uneventful conversation. It became obvious that Helen had an ulterior motive though, and so she quickly cut to the chase.

"Listen Fire, the reason I'm here is because I have a favor to ask. You know what happened between The Outlaw, and me right? Well I want a shot at her again. I mean I can't let that last match go like it did. So I want you to step aside and let me wrestle her on Saturday, okay?"

Fire was caught completely off guard by the questions, and didn't know what to say. She then thought about and asked, "Why don't you just go to the POWA matchmakers and have them book a match for you against her?"

Helen's eyes raised as she became aggravated that Fire did not simply give in.

"I did that already, but they want to let some of the heat die down first. They're worried that it's not the right time for a rematch. So if you just step aside, then I'll get what I want and you won't have to worry about her kicking your ass."

Fire's eyes now raised as she reacted to the obnoxious comment. She might have been willing to consider Helen's request at first, but now, it was out of the question.

"Sorry Helen. I don't intend to let her kick my ass, and I don't intend to step aside. If you want to wrestle against The Outlaw, you'll have to wait until I'm done with her!'

Helen quickly got up, Fire following her lead. Helen then moved ominously closer to her smaller, former lover, trying to intimidate her. But Fire stood her ground as Helen stared down at her, her large chest pressing up against Fire's.

"Listen Fire, I like you, we had fun together. But this is my pride on the line now. If you get in my way, you're going to regret it."

Helen leaned over and gave Fire a peck on the cheek before turning and walking out of the apartment, closing the door behind her. Fire plopped down on her sofa, her heart racing as she thought about what had just happened. It took her a few minutes to calm down, but once she did, she got up and headed out to the gym to work off her nervous tension.

Meanwhile at the POWA headquarters, Desiree was called in to speak with her boss. She wasn't sure what it was all about, but when she was summoned form the waiting room into his office, she quickly found out.

"I'll get right to the point Desiree, you're doing a shit job in the ring. A referee has to be able to keep control, and you haven't shown you can do that. The Outlaw is running wild and you can't seem to keep her under control. The fans are starting to think that you are a joke and the wrestler's are all bitching about you too.

We've got a big show this weekend, the POWA Holiday Extravaganza, so unless you can prove that you can keep order in the ring, I'm going to have to let you go. If things get out of hand in this show, I promise you that you will never work as a referee again!"

Desiree sat quietly as he concluded the chewing out. As a single mother, she desperately needed this job to help make ends meet. As it was she was forced to move in with her mother while working this and 2 other jobs. The pay wasn't great either, but at least it was steady work.

Her mind began to wander as she thought about how much the wrestlers made. While none of them were getting rich either, at least they made good money. And Desiree was in better shape than most of them combined! So realizing that she needed to say something, she decided to state her case.

"How about letting me rassle?" she asked matter of factly though her eyes were pleading for a chance.

He instantly dismissed the notion. "You're not a wrestler! You have no training, you have no experience. It wouldn't work."

But Desiree saw an opening and jumped on it. "I been watching these girls rassle for months and I can do whatever they can do. Hell I'm in much better shape than all of 'em! Look at this!" Desiree stood up and rolled up her sleeve, revealing a powerfully flexed bicep muscle.

But again he dismissed her request. "Just make sure you keep order in that ring or you won't have anything to do with wrestling anymore!" With that he stood up, motioning for her to leave. She sat frozen in her seat for a moment before reluctantly getting up and walking sheepishly out of his office. She knew he wasn't kidding about firing her, so she took his threat very seriously. But she couldn't help but think that she could be successful as a wrestler in the POWA, if only she had the chance.

Desiree was nice looking woman, but she had dropped out of high school to have a baby. The baby's father disappeared, leaving her few options. She began to lift weights as a means of letting out of her frustrations, and even became an amateur body builder for a little while. But she needed to make money to support her mother and baby, so she had to give up competing. She worked a full time job during the week and then another three nights per week too.

But when the POWA had an opening for a referee, the opportunity to become involved in some form of athletic competition was too much for her to pass up. She got the job and loved it, even though some of the girls were a real pain in her ass. But now all of that was in jeopardy if she couldn't keep control of the Holiday Extravaganza. And the biggest problem was going to be the match featuring The Outlaw against Fire.

The Outlaw had become a celebrity in her short time in the POWA. Her viciousness had become legendary, and fans either loved her or hated her. But she was the most talked about of all of the POWA stars, including Helen. She knew that this Pay Per View event was her chance to really make a name for herself and thereby open up other opportunities to her, so she planned to take advantage of that. Despite her sweet personality outside of the ring, inside of it she became an animal.

The night of the event came and the crowd's were even bigger than expected. Fire showed up at the arena early, her new boyfriend Lenny escorting her to the wrestlers entrance. They exchanged a passionate kiss before she walked back into her locker room and began her preparations.

Lenny had gone out and brought Fire the outfit she was going to wear that night and not surprisingly it was quite revealing. In keeping with the Christmas theme, the bikini was made of red silk with white fur trim, finished off with a pair of red and white go-go boots. Fire slipped it on and stood in front of the mirror, unable to prevent herself from snickering as she looked herself up and down.

Lenny had given her the confidence to wear an outfit like this, and though she blushed at the thought of wearing it in front of thousands of people, she knew that she could simply look out at him and feel comfortable in it.

In the next room, The Outlaw was also changing into her outfit, which funny enough, was the same one Fire was wearing. The holiday theme was in full force, and the wrestlers seemed to do their holiday shopping at the same store.

The first round of the tag team tournament came to a conclusion, meaning the Fire vs. The Outlaw was about to get underway. Fire was called from her dressing room and lead to the entrance to the arena, where she waited to be introduced. She could hear the rumbling of the crowd, and couldn't help but notice how it seemed larger than ever. Finally the music blared, her name was called and she bolted from behind the door and into the arena.

Fire received a luck warm reception, even though she looked great in her holiday outfit. She was a bit disappointed in the reception, but as she made her way toward the front row, she caught site of Lenny giving her a standing ovation. A smile crossed her lips as she ran over and kissed him before climbing up into the ring. She skipped around, waving to the few cheers she still received as the music again began to blare.

The announcer then called out The Outlaw's name, and all hell seemed to break loose. The roar from the crowd was deafening, about an equal amount of boos and cheers, but both very loud. The youngster seemed to invoke passionate responses from the fans, negative or positive.

Fire settled back into her corner as The Outlaw made her way to the ring, jawing with her critics and shaking the hands of her fans as she stormed down the aisle. It became pretty obvious who the star of the show was as Fire looked on with envy as the crowd continued to scream while the svelte youngster made her way into the ring. Fire looked her up and down, gulping when she realized that they were wearing the same outfit. Though Fire looked terrific, she was no competition for the tall, sinuous part time model.

The Outlaw began to taunt Fire, pointing at her before turning her thumb down. Fire's heart began to race as the crowd reacted positively to her opponent's hysteria, Desiree calling them forward. As they stood face to face, Fire's confidence began to wane. The Outlaw towered over her, standing a full seven inches taller. In addition, her shimmering, brown skin covered a layer of sinewy muscle which lined her body, not an ounce of fat on her.

Fire's ashen skin meanwhile did little to compliment her toned, though soft body. Even though she had worked herself into great shape, she still was no comparison to the stunning specimen standing before her. To make matters worse, The Outlaw knew it, and began to announce it to everyone.

"Look at this scrawny little white girl!" she yelled out to the crowd as she grabbed hold of Fire's forearm and pulled it up into the air. "She looks like a sick little elf or something."

Fire tried to pull her arm free from The Outlaw's clutches, but could not until finally The Outlaw released her grip.

"Now this here is the real deal!" the youngster crowed, and with that she broke into a pose, lifting her arms out to her sides and flexing her limber muscles. Fire smirked as the crowd erupted, making her feel even less confident than before as she waited for Desiree to give the instructions. Desiree looked annoyed before finally wrapping her arms around each of the wrestler's heads and pulling them close to her in double headlocks.

"Now you bitches listen. If this match gets out of control, then Desiree's gonna lose her job. And if Desiree loses her job, Desiree's gonna kick some butt. You got it?"

Fire nodded her head slightly as it was trapped beneath the powerful arm of the ref. But The Outlaw pushed herself away, taunting Desiree as she stormed back to her corner. Fire turned and walked back to hers as well, but suddenly the crowd began to stir. The noise started at the back of the arena, but quickly grew louder as the fans in front joined in.

Running towards the ring was Helen, looking very focused and very intense. She charged to the side of the ring and leaped up into it, wearing a tight, one-piece suit and white wrestling boots. She stood defiantly in the center of the ring with her hands on her hips before pointing her finger at the direction of The Outlaw.

"Me and you have a score to settle, and tonight's the night we settle it!"

The Outlaw looked back with an arrogant expression on her face before pointing back at Helen and laughing.

"You want me again Champ? Then you got me! But this time you ain't walking away!"

Helen then turned and walked back towards Fire corner, marching right up into her face.

"Sorry Fire, but this is my show tonight."

Fire looked back at Helen with an angry expression on her face.

"No Helen! No it's not! This is my match!"

The two of them began to argue, their heads jarring back and forth as the conversation grew heated. The Outlaw began to mock them at first, but as it went on for a few more moments, she backed herself into her corner and placed both hands on the top rope. Fire was now backed into the corner with Helen standing only inches away, her back to her rival. Not one to miss an opportunity, The Outlaw bolted from her corner and charged across the ring as the fans began to scream.

Helen did not realize what was about to happen as The Outlaw leaped into the air, pulling her legs out in front of her as she soared through the air before landing a violent dropkick into Helen's bare back directly between her shoulder blades.

Helen's back seemed to fold in half as she was thrust forward, ramming her body into Fire's and crushing her against the corner. Helen's shoulder blades almost seemed to meet behind her as she was pinned into the corner, her body completely covering Fire's. The Outlaw fell to the ground as her two potential opponent's became intertwined, each feeling the pain of the attack.

The sneaky youngster got to her feet over the roars of the crowd, quickly grabbing a handful of hair from each of the two crumpled brunettes. She pulled them both up by the hair, spreading her arms far apart before ramming their heads together, the collision causing a sickening CRACK.

Fire buckled back into the corner, her right arm falling over the top rope as the rest of her body collapsed. She had taken the blow square in the middle of her forehead, and already a small red bump had begun to form. Helen meanwhile was dazed by the violent collision to the side of her head and fell to both knees, stars circling her head. The Outlaw then raised her hands over her head in triumph as Desiree rushed over, too late to prevent the attack. The Outlaw again pulled them both up by the hair before racing across the ring, towing them along on either side of her.

Helen and Fire looked pathetic as they were dragged unwillingly toward the side ropes before The Outlaw whipped both of them over the top rope and sent them tumbling out of the ring. The current tag team champs and former lovers were completely humiliated by the sneak attack, and lay wounded outside of the ring while the crowd screamed and The Outlaw snickered. Fire's head struck the floor hard upon impact, knocking her completely unconscious. Her scantily clad body was sprawled on its' back on the cold, hard floor while Helen squirmed alongside her, trying to regain her wits.
