Although during the months of July, August and early September we tend to go into a bit of a hibernation. Our season really gets under way in about late September, with the training of new Bronze Squad members and existing Bronze holders desperately trying to get fit for their Proficency Exam in October/November. Patrols begin in November and go through to March/April. Surf Carnivals are conducted throughout these months with the Junior and Senior State Titles being held in March or April with the National Titles held a few weeks later. IRB Carnivals begin in about late April with the State Titles being held in early June and the National Titles in late June. The best time to join Port Noarlunga is between late September and early November because this is when the Junior's and new Bronze Squads begin their training. Sometimes a Bronze Squad will begin later on in the season. |
