Football Rules

2000 Edition

The team roster limit is 70 players. The trading deadline is November 31. All guidelines for trades, drafting, etc. that are used in fantasy baseball are used in fantasy football also (see baseball rules page). The final roster is 40 players. The breakdown is: OFFENSE (25 players)-QB (2-4), RB (4-8), WR (4-8), TE (1-3), K (1), OL (5/min. of 1 G,T,C);DEFENSE (15 players)-DE (2), DT (2), OLB (2), ILB (1), CB (2), S (2), defensive backups (2), P (1), KR (1-can be a kr and a pr totaled). Scoring: QB(yds. rush/pass div. by 2 minus ints. + compl. % 60.0=600 pts./remove decimal), RB(tot. yds. + rec. X 2 + rush. avg. 4.0=600 pts./avg. X 1.5), WR(tot. yds. + rec. X 10 + rec. avg. 20.0=400 pts./avg. X 2), TE(tot. yds. + rec. X 12 + rec. avg. 10.0=400 pts./avg. X 4), K(pts. scored X 3 + kick %/km div. by ka X 2), P(yds. 4,000=400 pts./remove last digit, round up + gross and net avg. X 2 45.0=900 pts., 37.0=740 pts.), KR(yds. + ko avg. X 2 + pr avg. X 4). Note: when figuring points always remove decimals from averages before multiplying. Scoring for defensive players is: DL/LB(sacks/interceptions=25 pts., tackles/assists=l pt.), DB(ints.=50 pts., sacks=25 pts., tackles/assists=1 pt.). Add 100 pts. if a defensive player makes pro bowl. Add 6 pts. if any player scores a TD, 2 pts. for 2 pt. conversion. Add 200 points if an OL makes pro bowl. In addition to your team of players every owner chooses a coach. The coach receives points as follows: most wins=100 pts., 2nd=75 pts., 3rd=50 pts., 4th=25 pts. Ties in wins will be decided by first the coach whos team allows the fewest points, second the coach whos team scores the most points.

These are the current fantasy football rules. Have fun!
