Radio station CJRW in Summerside, Prince Edward Island reports that Mike
Keenan will leave the Rangers to become coach and general manager of the
Detroit Red Wings at the end of the season. Meanwhile, the New York Post
reports that the Rangers would have no objection to Keenan's departure, and
that Scotty Bowman would be pushed up to director of player personnel in
Detroit.
