We produce ratings for
the FHL simm and will share them to those who ask for them. We have FHL drs
packages
for 98-99, 99-00, 00-01, 01-02 and are now working on 02-03. We only ask that if you don't
like our work then trash the files
and find ratings somewhere else. We don't have any tolerance for ingrats who
leech off of others work and
then publicly trash the product.

I have allot of questions on how to update
a player database. Here is a short and dirty FAQ on the subject. Remember to
always back up your files before applying any updates!

| June 28th, 2003 | Due to personal/work
time constaints, I regrettably wish to inform those who have been patiently
waiting that the release will be delayed. I cannot complete the beta right now
and it will be another 3-4 weeks until I shake enough time to finish them.
I have started vacation and will not finish them
until I get back from it. I apologise to all who have relied on us to get these done quickly, however life's priorities have to come first. A package will be completed for 2002-3 but at the moment its been delayed. I thank those who have been very supportive, I also ask that checking this site to be the way to find out the status of the ratings in the future. I have received countless emails each day since May asking when the ratings will be done or asking how to do ratings. The burden of answering each one is beginning to make the process non-pleasant. I just can't reply to every question and email. I have kept a list of everyone who has inquired and will email all when a package is ready. |

| April 27th, 2003 | The process this year with team assignments will be different, I have found it very difficult to get consistency between many raters, therefore a full rating will be done by a small group I will pick then we will open the process to review and adjust ratings based on that process. This will also help speed up the process. |

| This ratings project is for the FHL hockey simmulator. It was created using
very similar methods of the FRSC (FHL ratings and statistics council 1999). This version of the drs file
is being developed from scratch by a team people representing many leagues and
interests. Coordination of the project is managed by the GHL (Global Hockey league). The GHL supports cooperative ventures like this and wishes to thank everyone for their time and effort. The primary objective of the project is to provide a consistent approach to ratings using standard calculations where possible, related to a players actual NHL stats. We wish to be able to produce a package that has some trace ability to a uniform approach and repeatability from year to year. We don't claim to be perfect and acknowledge all of those who do ratings as it is often a thankless job. There are many methods to rate players if you don't like ours, we certainly don't mind you not using them! |
