We congratulate AICCF President Dr. A.B.Surveyor, Vice President K.Lhouvum, Mr. Suresh Mody, Dr. Alok Saxena and Mr. P.S.Dabolkar who are joining the Management Committee for the first time.
This Bulletin includes the announcement for the next AICCF Championship plus a new Special Tournament. The details are given on p. 10-11. Players who are likely to qualify on the basis of ratings published in this issue, and also those who may qualify in case some of the higher rated players do not participate, should send their entries to me. These entries should be sent as early as possible without waiting for the last date of 1 May 2006. Although no member can play in both the tournaments, applications can be made for both and in case the player does not qualify for the Championship he will be considered for the Special Tournament.
AICCF sees new targets and new horizons in domestic and international participation. Email play is definitely strengthened and several new email tournaments are being started regularly by Tournament Director (Email) Santhosh Paul. Postal tournaments also continue their popularity. Several of our players are now participating in ICCF webserver events. We have our teams in the ICCF email/postal Olympiad and in the Webserver Olympiad.
AICCF offers condolences to the family members of Late D.R.Sahiar (Membership No: 2381) who left for his heavenly abode on 10th October 2005 (see p. 25).
We welcome the new members: Vilas G.Gaonkar (Membership No: 3459) and Mohan R. Morewekar (Membership No: 2460). Both of them are office colleagues of Dr. Chatterjee.
Pervez Mandviwala (2198) and Santhosh Paul (2330) have become Life Members.
