Team Profile
The Bentley Panthers have had an exciting year so far. We entered three tournaments this year, playing against schools ranging from 1A-4A and did quite well at each. We hosted our own tourmament in January and won it for the second year in a row. We also ended up first overall in league play. Although we are a young team, the girls play with intensity, aggressiveness and heart. We are a very enthusiastic team and are proud to be representing our school at the 98/99 provincials.
School and Town Description
Bentley is a bustling little community situated along the banks of the Blindman River. It is strategically located between the very popular resort areas of Sylvan and Gull Lakes. Therefore tourism is a key element of the local economy along with the staple industries of agriculture and the oil patch.
Bentley is very proud of its progressive school that houses ECS through to grade 12 with a total of 528 in attendance. Athletics is a vital component of the Bentley School and we wish the Panther Baskeball Team good luck in their games at Provincials.
