Provincial Basketball Playoffs at Bentley
Bentley is about forty minutes
north west of Red Deer, Alberta's Central City. The turnoff to Bentley is
from highway 2 onto highway 12 west (it's clearly marked for both south and north
bound traffic). Bentley is about twenty minutes west of the turn off. Enjoy
the drive around the southern edge of Gull Lake. Look for a large number
of colourful of ice fishing tents standing on the still frozen lake.
Upon entering Bentley, take 49
st north bound (alternatively, you
can follow the signs to the hospital; Bentley Elementary is directly behind
our hospital). Three blocks
north of main street you will find the two schools of Bentley: Bentley
Jr/Sr High on the left and Bentley Elementary on the right. Teams will be
housed and games will be played in the newly renovated Elementary School
so please register there. Use the second set of doors, behind the flag
poles.
To get to Eckville, home of the
Boys 1A Provincial Tournament and host of the opening ceremonies and banquet,
continue west on highway 12 until you reach secondary highway 766 and head
south. Take your first right upon entering Eckville and follow directions to
the Community Hall. All roads are paved.
