Bethlehem notched two goals out of numerous opportunities and Indiana had two beautiful opportunities to equalize, but miserably weak on both of these. Once the visitors were successful in getting the ball into the net when Shaw located from close range, but Referee Walders called an offside and the goal was disallowed.
Archie Stark, Bethlehem center forward, notched both goals, one of which was a repeat of his beautiful individual effort of the week previous. Single handed, he eluded the charges of the visiting backs as he dribbled down the field, almost from the mid mark, and then, after having successfully tricked the backs, had not one to beat but Renzulli. The latter played unusually good in comparison to the work of his teammates, but the well placed shot of Stark was beyond the physical ability of the best goalies to apprehend.
Bethlehem had much the better of the play, readily indicated by t he nine corners conceded by the visitors. However, none of these was productive while passing was hard to gauge, resulting in many miskick and misses on just as many lenders. As a resultant neither team was at its best,. Joe McCarthy, the phenomenal St. Louis forward, recently signed with Indiana, displayed much speed, but was easily taken care of by Jock Young. McCarthy has a lot to learn, which in the company with which he is now competing , he should rapidly develop.
