Forty-four games comprise the total doled out for each of the clubs in the American Soccer League. Some clubs have five more games to play, some less and some more, but regardless of what the outcome of these remaining games, Bethlehem will be on the top of the heap. This is easily doped out by lamping the following official standing of the top clubs.

Figures Mean Nothing
Apparent by the above figures, statistics mean little or nothing in sports. Take Bethlehem for instance, a hot favorite on paper, with by far the best record in league campaigning, was eliminated in both cup competitions. Fall River, Eastern cup finalist lost more than again as many league games as Bethlehem, Fall River had one more draw than the Steelmen and in the goals scored for and against Bethlehem counted eight more than Fall River and almost half as many less scored against it. But statistics didn't mean a thing when two rivals collided in the Eastern final. The goals Fall River didn't get in the league campaigning the Marskmen notched to win the Eastern and perhaps the National title.
