Taking advantage of the idleness of the Bethlehem Steel team in league games, A. Stevens of the New Bedford club has piled up a lead over Archie Stark, the Bethlehem Steel center forward, for the individual scoring honors in the American Soccer League. Stevens is topping the list of the ten highest scorers with a total of forty goals. Stark is tied with R. M. Blair, of the Boston Club, for second place honors, with 34 goals.
Now that all but the grand final in the National Cup competition is concluded, the Steel Workers will again swing into action in league games and will continue uninterrupted until the team opposes the winner of the western division in the cup classic.
