While the driving snow storm last Saturday forced the postponement of the majority of games scheduled in the American Soccer League there were nevertheless a few games played over the weekend. For the latter games the conditions were anything but favorable, being played on field covered with ice and snow.
Bethlehem was scheduled to meet the New York Giants and held out in the hope of playing up until one o'clock in the afternoon. However, heavy drifts setting the field at numerous places put the grounds in an unplayable condition and the game was called off by the referee. The Giants and Bethlehem players were at the club house ready for action.
While Bethlehem remained idle, its position as league leader was slightly decreased. Both Fall River and Boston, contenders for the league honors, played games and won, climbing up in the percentage column by several points.
The Steel Workers will be away for their game over the coming weekend. The teams journeys to Fall River to meet the Marksmen in the last league engagement of the season. Both teams have won one game a third resulted in a draw. The Steel Workers make the trip for the lone game to be played on Sunday afternoon.

Philadelphia F. C. is now playing its home games at Disston Ball Park, State and Unruh Streets, Tacony, Philadelphia.
James Hogg of J & P Coats F. C. has been unconditionally released by the Pawtucket club.
Boston signed James Ewen, formerly an inside forward with the noted Scottish Junior team, Aberdeen, East End. A few weeks before migrating here, Ewen played trial games for Aberdeen "A" and Brechin City.
For threatening to assault Referee C. Stott at the conclusion of the Newark-Boston game at Newark, January 2nd, R. M. Blair of Boston has been suspended for two games.
