Welcome to my homepage about the Halifax Mooseheads!This is the teams 5th year and the start has
been quite exciting. With the additions of the international talent of Alexei Volkov and Ladislav Nagy, the rookies Pascal LeClaire, Sammy Seguin, Brandon Benedict and
newcomers Jasmin Gelinas and our tough guy Carlyle Lewis; we have a pretty established team. There has been record attendance at the Metro Centre so far this season, with
the team hitting off with an excellent start of only two losses in the first two months
of the season.
Captain of the team this year is Jeff Sullivan with assistants Alexandre Matheiu, ALEX JOHNSTONE, Jason Troini, Billy Manley and Alex Tanguay. Our injuries have been contagious with Tanguay, Belanger, Towriss, Manley who were out for a long period of time. These players are back on the ice, but Lynch is still out possibly till March.
We also have a few NHL draft picks on our team this year: Tanguay(Colorado), Johnstone(NJ), Volkov(LA), Nagy(StLouis), and Matheiu(Pittsburgh). We are all very proud of them, and wish them luck in their future endeavors.
This year we have all of the away games and a couple of home games on the radio. The fans enjoy this emensely as they can listen to the games and not miss out on the action. The station is Talk Radio 920 CJCH.
The Mooster Club has been quite busy this year with all the crazy fans. There has already been a trip to Quebec for two games, and was quite a success. Also the Mooster Bowling Event that happened on February 7th was a blast and everyone had a great time!! To see pics from these events just visit the Mooster Club Website.
