1918 National Rifle Factory |

National Rifle Factory 1 was started from the Standard Small Arms Factory when it was closed due to production and management problems. This factory continued to produce receivers, parts and furniture for the MkIII* rifles. These parts were assembled in either Enfield or BSA. This type of production was termed "peddled scheme". As far as I can tell these rifles were only produced one year. The mark for the factory is also on the receiver next to the cocking lever and is NRF. See the photo to the right. |
