Auburn
Aces GREAT PLAINS/PACIFIC REGIONAL CONFERENCE |
Team History: | Owner Notes: | |
Initially
cast as the Tecumseh Tinmen under coach Brad Badertscher, the franchise
got off to a fast start by appearing in Interstate Bowl I. The
following two years, the team posted the worst record in the
league. But the team came back strong, putting together a string
of 3 IFFL championships in 4 years. Coach Babcock relocated the
team to Auburn, Washington and the Aces began league play in
2007. The Aces' yearly won-loss record is detailed here. Team Nostalgia: Auburn’s (Tecumseh) first draft pick as a franchise was Randy Moss, WR. |

Hometown Notes: Auburn is located in the scenic northwest, and seemed destined to house one of the IFFL's powerhouse franchises. The team has really taken to the town's traditions, as they prepare to slaughter any opposition in their way. Feel free to purchase any one of a number of great Auburn gifts (picnic shelters start at only $12,000!). Although you may already know that Auburn is home to the third-largest Veteran's Day parade west of the Mississippi, you can find more information about Auburn right here. |
After
suffering from vicious and unrelenting ribbing during his childhood,
Aaron finally decided to legally remove the "y" that had followed the
second "b" in his last name, and since has gone by Babcock. A
simple change like that has really increased his standing and respect
with players on the team. Coach Babcock has also gained the
respect of players by taking up for them in
disputes during the team's exhibition softball contests vs. other
IFFL squads.
