Woo-hoo, we're on a roll... two updates in a row. Those of you who know Jamie pretty well know that this is a major accomplishment. He is a world-class procrastinator, in fact... he's far behind in Thank-You notes, responding to e-mail, etc, and should probably be doing those before this update. Oh well. : ) He promises he'll be getting to those tonight.

It's been a moderately quiet week for our family. We're still figuring out how to get Léanne to sleep through the night, with some success. For the last few nights she's slept from 11 to 4, and then from 4:30 to 7:30. This means that Jamie and Theresa alternate these middle of the night feedings, so it's not so bad. One little problem is that when she is awake, she's not happy unless she's in somebody's arms. This of course means that Theresa has trouble getting a lot of stuff done during the day, and it could prove to be a problem when Theresa goes back to work in a few weeks, and Léanne heads to daycare. She doesn't like pacifiers, and swings and rockers don't seem to keep her attention. We do have a mobile that we haven't set up yet, but we don't have really high hopes for it. Anyone have any other suggestions?
Otherwise, she is a very happy baby, and everyone loves spending time with her.

Claire is enjoying school, and doing very well, including doing extremely well on a recent reading test. Last night Anna, a girl from Claire's class who lives two doors down, came over and played basketball with Claire.
Claire's weekend was pretty exciting. On Saturday she went horseback riding with her Uncle John and Aunt Shannon (I hope I got this right...). This included an episode where the horse almost threw her off which Claire cheerfully recounted to Theresa and Jamie. I don't think Claire understands how freaked out we were as she was telling us this : ).

Jamie survived a layoff at work (gulp!). What a horrible thing to hear at work. Otherwise he's doing fine. He's trying to get back in shape, and trying to find the time to get a haircut!

Theresa's days are filled with baby, and she took a well-deserved break on Tuesday night. She went out for a coffee and to get her hair done... whew. Other than a little bit of time she took when her mother was here, this was the first break she'd had!

Other news in our little family's world is that we're getting new neighbors. The old neighbors have already moved out, and we heard that they (finally) got an offer they like for their place. They told us the new neighbors are a younger couple with a 4-month old baby. So maybe Léanne has a playmate!
