October 22, 2001 Update

Well, it's been almost a month since we've written the last update. Time flies!

Claire is doing wonderfully well. Her tummy problem finally went away (which is a huge relief to Mom!) School is still going good for her. She had last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off (she says it was really nice to sleep in those days!) Her project this week is to get the "old stuff" out of her room to put in the garage before the snow hits. She's looking forward to Thanksgiving break and parent/teacher conferences! (which, I have to say, is something I never looked forward to!)

Leanne is now 7 weeks old! (8 weeks tomorrow) We go and get her 2 month pictures taken next Sunday which I hope turn out well. As well, Claire is going to be in a few of the poses - so we can get a really nice picture of the two of them! We'll post the picture as soon as they become available. Other then that, we've finally gotten her to sleep through the night on a semi-regular basis (I say semi-regular because last night was a bit rough for Dad!) She's giving us usually around 7 hours straight through. She's doing great at the baby-sitters during the day and smiling up a storm for everyone!

Jamie's been doing very well. He was able to go golfing with Jerry (Theresa's Dad), Jay (Theresa's brother) and Bob (Theresa's uncle) this weekend which ALWAYS makes him happy. . (He's usually a pretty happy guy anyway… ) He'll be leaving next Sunday, the 28th, for his trip down to the Florida Keys (for work!) and coming back on Halloween. We're gonna miss him A LOT!

As for me, (Theresa) this is the start of my third week back at work. (yuck) Not that I don't like my work!! But knowing there's a baby who could be in my arms all day instead of me sitting behind a desk makes things really difficult. It is a big relief to know that Leanne is getting taken care of really well. I started taking French classes here at 3M which are once a week on Tuesdays during my lunch hour. I haven't had a class yet, but I'm really looking forward to brushing up on the French skills I have as well as learning more.

Yesterday for the Packer/Viking game, we had Ann, Curt, Angie and Scott over (our friends - and if you didn't know the Packers lost horridly!) It was great fun to see everyone and hang out together. Before the game started, we went out and saw Angie and Scott's new house (they're building in Hugo - which is about 8 miles away from where we live and about 10 miles from Ann and Curt!) Their house is looking GREAT and they're very excited to be closing in 3 weeks! We're all excited that they'll be closing in 3 weeks, actually! Thursday evening we'll be going over to Ann and Curt's (Angie and Scott will be going as well) for supper. Ann always makes a GREAT meal and we're definitely looking forward to that!

Jerry (Dad) has been coming over to help us (not actually HELP us- he's doing it!) with some work in the basement. It seems that the drain in the tub on the top floor has been leaking for some time down to the bathroom below. I'm kind of excited because when he's done, I get to paint and redo the downstairs bathroom! Since it's mostly Claire's bathroom, we may just have to do something really fun with it!

Hope everyone is doing well! And, drop us a line if you get a chance.
