Well folks, that's it! The '98/'99 season has drawn to a close, and in the Leafs' case it is not the time to look back.
It is time to look ahead.
This summer will see certain needs fullfilled and certain projects terminated. Here are a few things that I feel
should be high on the "things to do" list of Toronto management if they are, in fact, serious about improving the team.
- Fredrik Modin has at times looked like he was ready to break out, and at times has appeared confused and out of place. Sadly, this season, it was more of the latter. I feel that like the current power forward John Leclair, he may need a change of scenery in order to jolt him into becoming a solid player. It would be nice to see the leafs accomodate this fact, provided that they get more in return than the habs did when they delt Leclair to Philidelphia.

- Free Agents. Depending on who is lost in the NHL's expansion draft, Toronto management has stated that they will not be as active about aquiring any free agents this summer. Clearly, the order of favour for free agent aquisitions is: forwards, defencemen, and lastly goalies.
