PEE DEE RIVER UNIVERSITY
MEDIA GUIDE

This is your home for Boy Band Killer Football. No team in the history of the CCFFL has endured as many changes or owners as the Pee Dee River program. The original name of the team was Goldberg University in the inaugural 1998 season and the team was owned by Mike Ruff. In 1999, Marc Watson took over ownership and changed the name to Lou Holtz University. This name stuck until a few games into the 2000 season when owner inactivity caused the program to be placed on a short probation period and ownership was given to current owner Randy Miller, who changed the team name to the current Pee Dee River University for the 2001 season. 2001 was a blowout year for Pee Dee River, winning one less game in 2001 and the school's first three years combined and gaining the school's first ever bowl berth. Pee Dee River was a member of the Gary Coleman Division until 2001 expansion prompted their realignment to the Lamont Sanford Division.
