Yestreday we reported that Yugovich scored the goal for Yugoslavia while it was Michaylovich who really scored the goal.

Austria-Chile 1:1 06/17/98

Austria forced a tie again in the 90th minute this time by a Vatic's goal that evened the match aftera strange goal by Salas. Both teams were week in most parts of the game but when Siera entered the game for Chile it became better and was close to score even a second goal but Salas missed. For Austria: Vatic. Brazil-Maroco 3:0 06/16/98
Maroco did not stand a chance against the world champion that gave a great match espacially by Ronlado Rivaldo and Roberto Carlos as her defensive part works well too. Ronaldo scored in the begining minutes Rivaldo in the end of the first half and Bebetoo in the begining of the second half. Brasil finishes first in the group and qualifyes to the second stage.

Scotland-Norway 1:1 06/16/98

Both teams did not rise up in their level and showed a pretty boring game exept of a few good minutes of Mcnamara and Daily in scotland. Both teams now hope that Brasil will win Maroco. For Scotland: Burely. For Norway: Flo.

Germany-U.S.A 2:0 06/15/98

Germany was the more experienced and more talented team on the field and as such it did its job more efficient than the U.S. and came over them. Klinsman and Birhof needed only one good move to score an important goal for Germany and U.S.A was left with the option of long range kicks that did not help at all. For Germany: Muller and Klinsman. Roamania surprised everyone showing a fast passing game which gave her the advantage in the first half Elie scored the goal in an amazing play and the Colombians did not have the answer. For Romania: Elie

England-Tunisia 2:0 06/15/98

The score of this game reflects the match as the english were much better than Tunisia that was not creative enough for a world cup in such a level. The English played well as the best player on the field was Paul Ince who assisted the second goal to Scholes that scored in an amzing spinned kick after the first goal was scored by Shearer. For England: Shearer and Scholes.

Croatia-Jamaica 3:1 06/14/98

Croatia was first to take the lead as Stanic scored from a rebound from a ball that hit the post but Earl scored the equalizer right before the break. Kosnizky scored an amazing goal in the begining of the second half and Davor Suker used the help of a "kind" Jamaican defender to scored the third goal. For Croatia: Stanic, Kosinezky and Suker. For Jamaica: Earl.

Yugoslavia-Iran 1:0 06/14/98

Trying to stay objective about Iran as good as an Israelian be i can still say that they are not in the level of the world cup but i guess i can say the same about what i had seen from Yugoslavia. One goal from a free kick was enough to wipe the worst game in the world cup so far. For Yugoslavia: Michailovich.

Argentina-Japan 1:0 06/14/98

Argentina was better on every part of the game and 1-0 was a lucky score for the Japanese who played well but not good enough for Argentina. Veron and Batistuta (who scored the goal) were good in Argentina. For Argentina: Batistuta.

Holland-Belgum 0:0 06/13/98

Holland was very close to scoring a few times espacially from free kicks and corners but they were not close to the level they showed in the freindly games leaving everyone disappointed of them.

Mexico-S. Korea 3:1 06/13/98

South Korea was first to take the lead as Ha scored from a free kick but Orneo evened and Hernandez scored twice with the help of the wonderful Blanco Mexico has now a real chance of passing the first stage.

Spain-Nigeria 2:3 06/13/98

Spain began the world cup on the left foot as after leading twice by goals by Hiero and Raul Nigeria took the hole three points leaving Spain in a very bad situation in which it will have to win either Paraguay or Bulgaria both are defensive teams. France-South Africa 3:0 06/12/98

Two own goals by Issa are the example of how confused S. Africa looks in comparecment of France who played as the best team in the world cup so far. Henry Zidane and Dechamp were the main stars of France. For France: Dugary and Issa (2 own goals)

Denamark-S.Arabi 1:0 06/12/98

Until the 60th minute we thought we are going to watch another goal less game ending with a tie bit the Danish team wanted more and Reiper gave her the winning goal after which the Danish took control on the game and were close to scoring a second goal.

Paraguay-Bulgary 0:0 06/12/98

Both teams did not show the level that we expect from the world cup in the most boring game in the world cup so far.

Austria-Cameroon 1:1 06/11/98

Just we thought Austria was giving up this game leaving Cameroon as the leader of the group Polster scored in the most disppointing game's so far injury time to even to 1-1. For Austria: Tony Polster. For Cameroon: Anjanaka.

Italy-Chile 2:2 06/11/98

Itlay got one point only from this game and even for doing that they needed a lot of luck as after 85 minutes Chile was still leading 2-1 but the referee's mistake gave the Italians a penalty kick and Roberto Bagio 2-2. For Italy: Viera and R. Bagio. For Chile Salas (2)

Norway-Maroco 2:2 06/10/98

Maroco lead twice and ruled the game for the first 70 minutes but in the final end the Marocans got tired and the bad Marocan goalkeeper made it even worse and allowed Norway to take a point out of this game. Hada and Hadji scored for Maroco Chipo with an own goal and Igen evened for Norway.

Brazil-Scotland 2:1 06/10/98

The opening goal was scored by Sampaio from Brazil 1-0 to Brazil in the beginning minutes but Colins evened from the penalty kick. Boyd scored an own goal that won the game.
